Life In Heaven
As I dance on the cotton clouds and slide Down the rainbows, I can hear angelic voices singing behind me. Then I swim in the waters of happiness As He showers me with glorious sunshine That He has made just for me.

He takes my hand and We go on a magic carpet ride tour Through an endless diamond sky. The brilliance of the moon and the stars Take my breath away.

And I proclaim with all my heart “Praise The Lord!” As we soar over the majestic mountains And down by the serene lakes, We return to a beautiful mansion that only He could create.

And we dine together as we reflect back on Our day. As I lay down to sleep that night He whispers softly in my ear, “Sleep well My Princess. I’ll be here in the morning!”


Oh Beautiful
As the babbling brook breathes life to the ground,
Behold a new day has dawned! 
The golden ray beam down from above
And thus begins the bond.

Each blade stretches upward to catch the embrace.  The wind brushes softly through!
The dance, and they laugh as the fall in formation
Drenched in the kiss of the dew!

The rustle of leaves speaks boldly Announcing
the outpour that each of them share
Overflowing with warmth, they whisper one to another The ecstasy surrounding them there!

Rejoicing on high, sure purity glistens…
Innocence gleams through their being.
The heavens break open, unleashing their power 
And surging with grace, the whole world is seen!

From the sidelines I stand, gazing in awe
Receiving this breathtaking wonder! 
I realize how small I am in comparison…
Oh nature…let no man put thee asunder!


Missing You
I close my eyes and imagine you being with me.
I feel the warmth and the touch of your smile!
My heart swells, rejoicing, when clearly I see
We are only apart for a while!

The miles can’t put distance
between those that love each other
The way you and I do.
I hold tight, embracing each memory of you.

Your sweetness and laughter rise up to my ear.
I can sense everything you would say!
Yet still from my eyes escapes one more tear,
As I ache from your absence today!


My Friend
“Greater love has no man than this…
Than to lay down his life for a friend.” 
With turmoil and heartache ablaze in the midst,
A hand reaches out for the mend!

Some think it is strange to call a friend “loved”  
Some go through life without pleasure.
But truly the blessing was sent from above,
And should be cherished as life’s greatest treasure!

It’s more than just listening and being close by,
It’s more than good times spent together.
It’s feeling the pain, and hearing the cry…
A commitment held steadfast forever.

Now don’t get me wrong, the good times are plenty.  I am grateful for those that we share!
But in you I have found the true meaning of “friendly”  For even in tough times, you are there!

Someone To Trust
It’s so hard to find a true friend as a teen.
Is it friendship, or is it peer pressure?
Beginning to end, and even in between,
A true friend is someone to treasure!

It hasn’t been long that I’ve been in this world,
So I realize my views could be challenged.
But isn’t it true, the word “we” is plural?
Isn’t it true that trust and good faith should be balanced?

In you I have found my concept of a “friend.”
We’ve laughed and we’ve cried to each other.
With you I have found I don’t have to contend,
For we genuinely like one another!

In the winter we made snow angels together.
We’ve talked on the phone for hours!
Shared secrets and feelings...held dear forever.
Inner beauty is reflected...not outer!

Somehow, you’ve managed to stand by me.
In rough times you knew what to do.
Whether shopping, a movie, or climbing a tree
A true friend is someone like you!


That Certain Someone
We go through this life meeting all kinds of
people, But a few leave a lasting impression.
They capture our hearts and strengthen our soul,
And we never forget their expression!

As time passes by, we come to depend
On their presence as well as their kindness.
Elated with joy from each smile that they send,
And blessed by the tie that binds us.

There is always a word, and a moment to spare,
Although they have trials of their own.
Unselfish and eager, they are willing to share
All the wealth of this life that they've known.

For some it is a teacher, a parent, or a friend,
An acquaintance, a spouse, or a child;
A pastor, a doctor... there’s really no end
To the job they may hold all the while.

What you do for a living doesn’t matter, you see!
For you serve a purpose much higher.
In abundance you’ve given so much to me!
And it’s you in this world I admire!


The Glorious Creation
Just you and me  Alone in a field… 
The sparkling water  Reflects the golden sun. 
This reminds me of what others 
See on the inside of you.

The green grass beneath our feet 
Represents your crispness in life. 
The butterflies that fly around us 
Are mirrors of your transformation. 
And the birds are models of your new wings... 
Go ahead and fly!


The Maze of Life
As we go through the maze of life  Unaware of what the future may hold, 
It often appears that we stand alone. 

We start out at the beginning and it seems That we have chosen the right path.  Then, years later,
we find that we have made  A wrong turn somewhere.  “Where is God during all of this?” we ask ourselves. 

“Why doesn’t He help me?”  We must learn that if we ask God to help us, He will be there for us.  If only we can trust in Him and ask Him for the help we need, We may complete this long and hard journey.  He will take us home before the walls begin to close in.  For if we never learn to trust,
We’ll only end up lost in a dark and lonely world.
