And Then Came Sunday
The world looked on in confusion,
His followers in disbelief…
The crowd cheering their own illusion,
The soldiers offering no relief!
Bruised beyond recognition,
Betrayed by those He loved…
Fulfilling His own premonition,
He cried out to His Father above!
A blanket of darkness covered the sky…
The Temple veil split in two.
For to grant us life, He had to die.
He shed His blood for me and you!
After paying the debt and defeating sin,
He rolled the stone away.
It is only through Him that new life can begin…
Let’s celebrate forever today!
Can I Help?
I don’t know what you are going through,
but I do know that you are in pain.
I can’t offer advice because I am not in your shoes, but I can be there for you just the same!
Maybe to know that you are surrounded by love
will help you to make it through one more day.
Maybe to know you are thought a lot of,
Can bring you comfort along the way!
Words can not express how my heart goes out...
Offering support, my thoughts, and a prayer!
But I want you to know, if you are ever in doubt,
You are not alone! There are people who care!
Happy Anniversary!
Today you will rejoice as you pause to reflect
On the years that you’ve shared with each other.
Looking back, you’ll find moments in which you detect The reasons you’ve embraced one another.
As a mother, you skillfully laid the foundation
For the warmth and the values of “home”.
As a father, you taught with true motivation,
That with family, you are never alone!
The example you have set is engraved in my heart, My children will benefit dearly!
For to them you have managed to somehow impart That love which is witnessed so clearly!
As you look to the future, and press toward the goal, There is only one thing left in my prayer…
May your love for each other never grow old As you journey through life as a pair!
Teenage birthday or encouragement
Growing up is like a story untold,
Like watching the petals of a rose unfold.
But the thorns are far beneath you.
And your fragrance fills the room.
No need to fear or worry…
May you always rest in His loving care.
And always continue your radiance to share!

Be Of Good Cheer
The journey is long and the way is unknown.
Your vision at times may be clouded.
Your faith will be tested, your spirit will groan,
And you will travel on streets that are crowded.
Hear my cries to the Father—“Not my will,"
Feel the love burning down from My eyes.
Listen closely for My voice and “Be still!"
For it is only My church that will rise!
The journey is long and the way is unknown,
But in majesty I will return!
With praises on high, I will carry you home
When this journey called “life” you have learned!
It’s Your Golden Wedding Anniversary!
How do you sum up 50 years together in a few short sentences? You start by loving the Lord with all of your heart, and all of your soul, and all of your mind. You tenaciously hold on to a faith that’s capable of moving mountains, and you put that faith in motion through your actions.
You find your greatest joy in serving each other, and your cup then overflows when your service reaches outside of your home. You learn to be content no matter what your circumstances are, and you rejoice at the opportunity to being a cheerful giver. You love unconditionally (by God’s very own description of love), and you never stop seeing the best in others.
You strive to be a good neighbor by putting others’ needs ahead of your own. Above all, you’re the only example of Jesus that many may ever see. As you hope, and believe, and pray, and serve, and love….you do it all together. “And the two shall become as one.” Gen 2:24
Through the births of our babies and through the deaths of our loved ones… through the laughter and through the pain…through the smiles and through the tears… Through the years, this is the example you’ve set. These are the things you’ve taught us. “…Faith, Hope and Love.
But the greatest of these is Love.” 1 Cor 13:13
How Do I Love Thee?
For a man shall leave his mother,
And a woman leave her home.
Sharing life with one another,
The two shall be as one.
The Lord took the weak to show us the strong,
The foolish to show us who’s wise.
With you by my side, I cannot go wrong!
For this love can be seen in your eyes!
Your strength is observed in how gentle you are.
Your wisdom is displayed without words.
My hopes and my dreams; You’ve outshined them by far
Making sense of what seemed so absurd.
May the Lord grant you all the desires of your heart,
You deserve it for all that you do!
I pray that some day I’ll find a way to impart
Just how deep my love is for you!
The Legend Of The Eagle
In the frosty mountains of Tennessee,
Just before the dawn,
An eagle plans her strategy
While awaiting the ray of the sun.
Firmly clutching her claws in an amber branch,
She looks down on the clear, sparkling water.
There in the stream, it happens by chance
That her prey appears dancing before her.
Releasing herself, she soars into flight...
Screaming as she races to seize him.
With the wings of an angel and all of her might,
She carefully executes determination.
Victoriously rising she returns to the sky...
Well known for her strength and her grace.
Joyful and confident she holds her head high,
As she, in this world, takes her place!
